LEARNING SHOULD NEVER STOP
Everyday, thousands of students across Haryana are trying to continue learning as the pandemic disrupted their regular education, due to the lockdown measures. While they’re trying to be safe, they’re compromising their progress without access to digital devices that would let them keep learning online.
Currently, only 40% students have access to fast-internet as well as a digital device for lessons.
However, 30% of students don’t have access to the internet; relying on phone calls and text messages to keep learning.
The rest 30% don’t have access to either a digital device, like a mobile phone, or an internet connection, leading to a complete blackout in terms of accessibility.
This is why, at Avanti, we’re launching the 40:30:30 campaign, to make sure that there is equity in learning, no matter what the circumstances are. This project is under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and implemented with the help of Haryana School Shiksha Pariyojna Parishad. Through this campaign we would like to seek your support for providing digital tablets for our Grade 9 and 10 girl students in Haryana.
Donations to 'Avanti Fellows' are tax deductible under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act 1961 vide Exemption Order No. DIT(E)/2011-12/A-3009/513 dated 21/06/2011. All donors get an official receipt via email to enable them to claim a 50% tax deduction. Please note: We are not accepting donations from international donors for this campaign.
This will help a student
We are working with our partners, Convegenius, who is facilitating the sourcing of these tablets and the Government of Haryana, who is helping us reach the students in need.
