This Privacy Notice applies to all users of our Services, including students, parents or lawful guardians, teachers, donors, volunteers, and visitors (collectively, "Data Principals" or "you").
By accessing or using our Products & Services or enrolling into any of our Active Programs, you agree to the collection and processing of your personal data as described in this Privacy Notice. If you do not agree to the Privacy Notice, please refrain from using our Services.
2. Personal Data We Collect and Purposes of Processing
We collect and process various categories of personal data for specific purposes. Below is an itemized list of the types of personal data we collect, along with the purpose and specific uses enabled by such processing:
Plio (Interactive Lesson Tool)
Personal Data Collected: Student ID, responses, time spent on interactive video lessons, interaction data (e.g., quiz answers, pause points).
Purpose: To track engagement with video lessons and provide feedback on quiz performance.
Uses Enabled: Personalized lesson recommendations based on quiz results, identifying areas where students struggle.
Portal (Authentication and Registration Tool)
Personal Data Collected: Name, date of birth, contact information, student ID, login credentials, profile completion data including demographic data.
Purpose: To authenticate students before accessing sessions and ensure personalized content delivery, analysis to enable more effective programming
Uses Enabled: Directing students to their sessions, collecting essential registration data.
Quizzing Engine
Personal Data Collected: Student ID, quiz responses, time taken to complete quizzes, correct/incorrect answers.
Purpose: To assess student performance, automate grading, and provide instant feedback.
Uses Enabled: Grading and performance analysis.
Reporting Engine
Personal Data Collected: Performance data from quizzes and assignments, attendance records, areas of improvement based on quiz results.
Purpose: To generate individual performance reports and provide actionable insights to both students and teachers.
Uses Enabled: Reports for students, teachers, and other stakeholders, performance tracking.
Gurukul WebApp
Personal Data Collected: Name, contact details, academic progress, communication data through chat or feedback forms.
Purpose: To provide a centralized platform for learning resources and facilitate teacher-student communication.
Uses Enabled: Providing access to lesson materials and quizzes, capturing feedback for continuous improvement.
3. Purpose of Processing Personal Data
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
Service Delivery: To provide educational content, mentoring services, and personalized learning experiences.
Communication: To send updates, newsletters, program information, and respond to queries.
Analytics and Improvement: To improve the functionality of our Services and improve user experience of students and teachers.

We will acknowledge your complaint within a reasonable timeframe and work with you to resolve it. The timeframe for addressing grievances is 2 months, as published on our website and app.
If you are not satisfied with our resolution, you have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

Notify Affected Data Principals: We will notify each affected individual without delay through their user account or registered communication channels. The notification will include:

A report regarding the notifications made to affected Data Principals.
