Two of Avanti’s talented girl students, Kashish and Tanya are part of the first ever cohort to be admitted to the undergraduate B.S. program for Data Science at the newly established
Zanzibar campus of IIT Madras!
Kashish
Meet Kashish. Her father used to work as a peon but he lost his job during the first wave of covid. Now he does part time jobs to support the family. Her mother is a homemaker and Kashish has no siblings. Their annual family income is less than $1500.
Kashish will be the first one in her family to go to college, but she needs your support to be able to afford it!
Tanya
Meet Tanya. She is an all-rounder from Delhi who has excelled in both sports and academics. She is a zonal level basketball player and a state level chess player, and she also teaches math to middle school students as a part time job to contribute to her family’s income.
Tanya’s family has an annual income of $3000 and they cannot afford her college expenses without your support!
The 4 year B.S. in Data Science course at IIT Madras Zanzibar campus costs a total of $70000
